In the Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art auction, the work A bird's concert with Aesop's Fable of the Stolen Feathers sold for EUR 61,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Casteels III achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Twelve Months of Flowers, a floral calendar of still lifes: January; February; March; April; May; June; July; August; September; October; November; and December in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 1,640,000.00 (€ 1,328,042.76).

In der Auktion Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art wurde die Arbeit A bird's concert with Aesop's Fable of the Stolen Feathers für EUR 61.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Casteels III erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Twelve Months of Flowers, a floral calendar of still lifes: January; February; March; April; May; June; July; August; September; October; November; and December im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.640.000,00 (€ 1.328.042,76).
