Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Classical landscape with Roman ruins, with an artist sketching on a staircase by Pieter Bout was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,140.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Bout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Winter Landscape With Figures Strolling And Unloading A Cart Outside The Walls of A Town, Skating And Sleighing On A Frozen River Nearby in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 84,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Classical landscape with Roman ruins, with an artist sketching on a staircase von Pieter Bout kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.930,00 (€ 8.140,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Bout erzielen.
