Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Drovers and their herd resting beside a river by Pieter Bout. The price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 6,081.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Bout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Winter Landscape With Figures Strolling And Unloading A Cart Outside The Walls of A Town, Skating And Sleighing On A Frozen River Nearby in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 84,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Drovers and their herd resting beside a river von Pieter Bout zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.100,00 (€ 6.081,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Bout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Winter Landscape With Figures Strolling And Unloading A Cart Outside The Walls of A Town, Skating And Sleighing On A Frozen River Nearby im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 84.000,00.
