A top price for Piet van Wijngaerdt - as previously expected
The work Het Toilet by Piet van Wijngaerdt was sold in the 20th Century Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2006. It changed hands for a price of EUR 11,400.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Het Toilet is the most expensive artwork by Piet van Wijngaerdt that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Het Toilet von Piet van Wijngaerdt wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 11.400,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Het Toilet das teuerste Kunstwerk von Piet van Wijngaerdt, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
