Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work La Femme Peintre by Pierre Roy for USD 34,375.00 (€ 26,466.74). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Roy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Barque Chinoise, which sold at auction in November 2010 for EUR 84,804.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit La Femme Peintre von Pierre Roy für USD 34.375,00 (€ 26.466,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre Roy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Barque Chinoise beobachtet, die im November 2010 für EUR 84.804,00 versteigert wurde.
