In October 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work ‘The Aviator’ by Pierre Dubreuil. The result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 51,510.99) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre Dubreuil have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'The First Round' in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 225,496.52).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit ‘The Aviator’ von Pierre Dubreuil zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 51.510,99) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Dubreuil auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'The First Round' im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 225.496,52).
