Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Pierre Dubreuil could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection auction, the work 'Lyres Modernes' changed hands for USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,171.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Dubreuil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'The First Round' in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 225,496.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pierre Dubreuil konnte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection wechselte die Arbeit 'Lyres Modernes' für USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.171,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Dubreuil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'The First Round' im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 225.496,52).
