Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'Furioso' by Pierre Dubreuil. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,752.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Dubreuil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'The First Round' in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 225,496.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Furioso' von Pierre Dubreuil zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.752,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Dubreuil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'The First Round' im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 225.496,52).
