Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Achrome by Piero Manzoni was auctioned at Christies in New York in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,800,000.00 – 2,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,801,801.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Piero Manzoni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Achrome in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 12,626,500.00 (€ 16,122,216.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Achrome von Piero Manzoni kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.800.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.860.000,00 (€ 1.801.801,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Piero Manzoni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Achrome im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.626.500,00 (€ 16.122.216,56).
