Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art| London, which included the work Untitled (32 Stolen Mercedes Hood Stars) by Piero Golia. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,647.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Piero Golia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (12 Degrees From The Ground) in March 2014 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 24,207.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art| London durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (32 Stolen Mercedes Hood Stars) von Piero Golia zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.647,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Piero Golia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (12 Degrees From The Ground) im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 24.207,01).
