Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Presentation in the Temple by Philips Koninck was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2002. It changed hands for a price of GBP 9,400.00 (€ 15,208.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philips Koninck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A woodland landscape with a cottage and figures in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 262,500.00 (€ 235,320.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Presentation in the Temple von Philips Koninck kam im April 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 9.400,00 (€ 15.208,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philips Koninck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A woodland landscape with a cottage and figures im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 262.500,00 (€ 235.320,48).
