Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work A group portrait of a gentleman and a lady with their children in an extensive wooded landscape by Philips Koninck. The price achieved of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,251.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Philips Koninck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A woodland landscape with a cottage and figures in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 262,500.00 (€ 235,320.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion IMPORTANT OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A group portrait of a gentleman and a lady with their children in an extensive wooded landscape von Philips Koninck zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 52.251,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philips Koninck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A woodland landscape with a cottage and figures im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 262.500,00 (€ 235.320,48).
