Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work A Penny for Your Thoughts, Website, 2006 from Fade to Black by Philippe Parreno for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,231.94). This price was achieved in the auction Unbound: Online Auction at Phillips in Bidding Closes and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Parreno achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Room is Another Fish Bowl in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 516,500.00 (€ 434,106.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Penny for Your Thoughts, Website, 2006 from Fade to Black von Philippe Parreno für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.231,94) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Unbound: Online Auction bei Phillips in Bidding Closes erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philippe Parreno erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Room is Another Fish Bowl im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 516.500,00 (€ 434.106,57).
