Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Philippe Hosiasson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2015. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Flash sold for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,284.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philippe Hosiasson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans titre, which sold at auction in July 2010 for EUR 20,000.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Philippe Hosiasson erzielte im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Flash für USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.284,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Philippe Hosiasson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans titre beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für EUR 20.000,00 versteigert wurde.
