This artwork by Philip R. Goodwin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2007. In the American Paintings auction, the work Their Lucky Day sold for USD 156,000.00 (€ 115,959.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip R. Goodwin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Northwood King--Calling the Moose, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 269,000.00 (€ 244,678.92).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Philip R. Goodwin erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings wurde die Arbeit Their Lucky Day für USD 156.000,00 (€ 115.959,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Philip R. Goodwin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Northwood King--Calling the Moose beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 269.000,00 (€ 244.678,92) versteigert wurde.
