In the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II auction, the work Portrait Of Elizabeth Hamilton, Née Green, Circa 1785 sold for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,764.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Philip Jean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paul Sandby (1731-1809), In Blue Coat, White Waistcoat And Cravat, Powdered Hair En Queue, Holding A Pen And Open Book; Landscape Background With Windsor Castle In The Distance in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 42,117.82).
