The work The Meet; On The Scent; Tally Ho!; And The Kill by Philip Rideout was sold in the Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs auction at Christies in London in June 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,562.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Philip Rideout have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2002 the work Going to the meet; Returning from the meet was auctioned for USD 2,350.00 (€ 2,714.25).
