Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A coach and four in snow; and A coach and four at full speed by Philip Rideout was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2003. The price achieved of GBP 235.00 (€ 337.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Admittedly, works by Philip Rideout have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Going to the meet; Returning from the meet in February 2002 with an auction result of USD 2,350.00 (€ 2,714.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A coach and four in snow; and A coach and four at full speed von Philip Rideout kam im November 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 235,00 (€ 337,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip Rideout auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Going to the meet; Returning from the meet im Februar 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.350,00 (€ 2.714,25).
