Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Pham Hau achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Beyond Legends: Modern Art Evening Sale auction, the work View Of A Famous Old Pagoda’S Landscape In North Vietnam sold for HKD 8,040,000.00 (€ 860,807.98) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 4,000,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pham Hau; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Golden Sunset over Halong Bay sold at auction in November 2021 with the realized price of HKD 9,732,500.00 (€ 1,082,155.36).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pham Hau erzielte im April 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Beyond Legends: Modern Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit View Of A Famous Old Pagoda’S Landscape In North Vietnam für HKD 8.040.000,00 (€ 860.807,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 4.000.000,00.
