In October 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Evening Sale, which included the work Deer And Stags In The Forest by Pham Hau. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 4,032,000.00 (€ 446,576.80), 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pham Hau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Golden Sunset over Halong Bay, which sold at auction in November 2021 for HKD 9,732,500.00 (€ 1,082,155.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deer And Stags In The Forest von Pham Hau zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 4.032.000,00 (€ 446.576,80) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pham Hau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Golden Sunset over Halong Bay beobachtet, die im November 2021 für HKD 9.732.500,00 (€ 1.082.155,36) versteigert wurde.
