The work Paysage du Tonkin (Tonkinese Landscape) by Pham Hau was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 127,852.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Admittedly, works by Pham Hau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Golden Sunset over Halong Bay in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 9,732,500.00 (€ 1,082,155.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Paysage du Tonkin (Tonkinese Landscape) von Pham Hau kam im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 127.852,37) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pham Hau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Golden Sunset over Halong Bay im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.732.500,00 (€ 1.082.155,36).
