This artwork by Pham Hau achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Evening Sale auction, the work Deer In The Forest sold for HKD 4,495,000.00 (€ 492,487.68) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pham Hau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Golden Sunset over Halong Bay, which sold at auction in November 2021 for HKD 9,732,500.00 (€ 1,082,155.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pham Hau erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Deer In The Forest für HKD 4.495.000,00 (€ 492.487,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pham Hau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Golden Sunset over Halong Bay beobachtet, die im November 2021 für HKD 9.732.500,00 (€ 1.082.155,36) versteigert wurde.
