Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Pham An Hai could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Water Surface No. 5 changed hands for HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,549.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 55,000.00 – 75,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pham An Hai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Incandescent Rays Of The Sun, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,709.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pham An Hai konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Water Surface No. 5 für HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.549,27) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 55.000,00 – 75.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pham An Hai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Incandescent Rays Of The Sun beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.709,91) versteigert wurde.
