Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Water Surface No. 5 by Pham An Hai for HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,434.56). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 65,000.00 – 85,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pham An Hai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Incandescent Rays Of The Sun, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,709.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Water Surface No. 5 von Pham An Hai für HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.434,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 65.000,00 – 85.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pham An Hai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Incandescent Rays Of The Sun beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.709,91) versteigert wurde.
