Auction result well in line with expectations
The work De veldheren: Planning the campaign by Petrus Marius Molijn was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2006. The price achieved of EUR 9,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Petrus Marius Molijn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Throwing the dice in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 42,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit De veldheren: Planning the campaign von Petrus Marius Molijn wurde im Oktober 2006 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 9.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Petrus Marius Molijn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Throwing the dice im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.000,00.
