A top price for Petrus Marius Molijn - as previously expected
In October 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work Throwing the dice by Petrus Marius Molijn. The price achieved of EUR 42,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Throwing the dice is the most expensive artwork by Petrus Marius Molijn that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Throwing the dice von Petrus Marius Molijn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 42.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Throwing the dice das teuerste Kunstwerk von Petrus Marius Molijn, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
