Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work A Good Hand by Petrus Marius Molijn. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,188.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Petrus Marius Molijn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Throwing the dice in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 42,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Good Hand von Petrus Marius Molijn zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.188,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Petrus Marius Molijn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Throwing the dice im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.000,00.
