This artwork by Petr Petrovich Konchalovsky achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2017. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work Women Bathing Under The Willows sold for GBP 488,750.00 (€ 556,595.06) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Petr Petrovich Konchalovsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Todzuro Kavarasaki, a Japanese actor, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 1,049,250.00 (€ 1,326,287.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Petr Petrovich Konchalovsky erzielte im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Women Bathing Under The Willows für GBP 488.750,00 (€ 556.595,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Petr Petrovich Konchalovsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Todzuro Kavarasaki, a Japanese actor beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 1.049.250,00 (€ 1.326.287,18) versteigert wurde.
