Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still Life with Two Hares by Petr Petrovich Konchalovsky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 47,880.00 (€ 56,215.63). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Petr Petrovich Konchalovsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Todzuro Kavarasaki, a Japanese actor in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,049,250.00 (€ 1,326,287.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still Life with Two Hares von Petr Petrovich Konchalovsky im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 47.880,00 (€ 56.215,63) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Petr Petrovich Konchalovsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Todzuro Kavarasaki, a Japanese actor im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.049.250,00 (€ 1.326.287,18).
