It achieved a price of GBP 855,000.00 (€ 1,003,979.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Petr Petrovich Konchalovsky; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of Todzuro Kavarasaki, a Japanese actor sold at auction in June 2008 with the realized price of GBP 1,049,250.00 (€ 1,326,287.18).
