Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pheasant Shooting by Peter Tillemans was sold in the SPORTING ART auction at Christies in New York in December 2000. The price achieved of USD 16,450.00 (€ 17,522.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Tillemans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A panoramic view of Chatsworth House and Park, with mares and foals in the foreground in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 265,250.00 (€ 337,857.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pheasant Shooting von Peter Tillemans wurde im Dezember 2000 in der Auktion SPORTING ART bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.450,00 (€ 17.522,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Tillemans erzielen.
