Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work A Harbour Scene With Numerous Figures Attending Market by Peter Tillemans. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,976.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Tillemans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A panoramic view of Chatsworth House and Park, with mares and foals in the foreground in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 265,250.00 (€ 337,857.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Harbour Scene With Numerous Figures Attending Market von Peter Tillemans zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.976,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Tillemans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A panoramic view of Chatsworth House and Park, with mares and foals in the foreground im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 265.250,00 (€ 337.857,21).
