Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Mutant Bees Attack Big Money by Peter Saul. It changed hands for a price of USD 170,100.00 (€ 164,777.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Saul have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Human Dignity in May this year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 768,725.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mutant Bees Attack Big Money von Peter Saul zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 170.100,00 (€ 164.777,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Saul auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Human Dignity im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 768.725,36).
