In December last year Christies in Milan held the auction Un Folle Amore: The Agrati Collection, which included the work Pneumatics by Peter Phillips. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,638.00 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Phillips achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 141,800.00 (€ 199,936.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Un Folle Amore: The Agrati Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pneumatics von Peter Phillips zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.638,00 und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Phillips erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 141.800,00 (€ 199.936,22).
