Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire the work Relief Study No. 2 by Peter Phillips for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,494.97). This price was achieved in the auction Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Phillips achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 141,800.00 (€ 199,936.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Relief Study No. 2 von Peter Phillips für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.494,97) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Phillips erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 141.800,00 (€ 199.936,22).
