Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Still Life with Lamp by Peter Oliver. The price achieved of GBP 478.00 (€ 722.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Oliver achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Lady Anne Clifford, Later Countess Of Pembroke (1590-1676), Circa 1620 in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,067.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life with Lamp von Peter Oliver zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 478,00 (€ 722,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Oliver erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Lady Anne Clifford, Later Countess Of Pembroke (1590-1676), Circa 1620 im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.067,00).
