Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figure in a car (yellow sky) by Peter McLaren was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2004. The price achieved of GBP 1,195.00 (€ 1,788.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Peter McLaren have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Poppies in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 9,987.50 (€ 15,893.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figure in a car (yellow sky) von Peter McLaren kam im März 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.195,00 (€ 1.788,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter McLaren auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with Poppies im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.987,50 (€ 15.893,26).
