The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,120.00 (€ 15,220.46), 51% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Lindbergh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christy Turlington, Los Angeles, American Vogue, 1988 in May 2017 with an auction result of GBP 185,000.00 (€ 212,479.98).

Die Arbeit Tatjana Patitz, Stern, Deauvil, France, 1990 von Peter Lindbergh wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 15.220,46) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Lindbergh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christy Turlington, Los Angeles, American Vogue, 1988 im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 185.000,00 (€ 212.479,98).
