Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Water Hole by Peter Hurd was sold in the California and Western Art Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of USD 510.00 (€ 417.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Hurd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Solitude in April this year with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 114,130.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Water Hole von Peter Hurd wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 510,00 (€ 417,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Hurd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Solitude im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 114.130,43).
