It achieved a price of USD 81,250.00 (€ 69,760.45), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Peter Hurd; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Solitude sold at auction in April this year with the realized price of USD 126,000.00 (€ 114,130.43).
