Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art Online, which included the work Hondo Valley by Peter Hurd. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,816.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Hurd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Solitude in April this year with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 114,130.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hondo Valley von Peter Hurd zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.816,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Hurd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Solitude im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 114.130,43).
