Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Selected images from Pictures of East Anglian Life, 1888 by Peter Henry Emerson. The price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,456.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Henry Emerson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected Images in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,755.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selected images from Pictures of East Anglian Life, 1888 von Peter Henry Emerson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.456,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Henry Emerson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected Images im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.755,49).
