Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2006 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Glovemaking by Pepe Espaliú. The price achieved of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,078.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pepe Espaliú achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rumi, 1993 in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 45,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Glovemaking von Pepe Espaliú zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.078,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pepe Espaliú erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rumi, 1993 im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.600,00.
