Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Santos IX by Pepe Espaliú was auctioned at Christies in Madrid in October 2007. The price achieved of EUR 12,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pepe Espaliú - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rumi, 1993, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 45,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Santos IX von Pepe Espaliú kam im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in Madrid zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pepe Espaliú mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rumi, 1993 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 45.600,00 versteigert wurde.
