Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pray And Fever by Penny Siopis was sold in the Modern and Contemporary African Art Online auction at Sothebys in London in March 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,057.53). Admittedly, works by Penny Siopis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heat and Dust in October last year with an auction result of GBP 30,240.00 (€ 35,229.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pray And Fever von Penny Siopis wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.057,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Penny Siopis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heat and Dust im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.240,00 (€ 35.229,27).
