Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portraits Of Charles Henri Ford (A Double Sided Drawing) And A Sketch Of Charles Henri Ford: Two Drawings by Pavel Tchelitchew was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,644.01). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pavel Tchelitchew achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Concert in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,385,000.00 (€ 1,619,289.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portraits Of Charles Henri Ford (A Double Sided Drawing) And A Sketch Of Charles Henri Ford: Two Drawings von Pavel Tchelitchew im März 2011 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.644,01) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pavel Tchelitchew erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Concert im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.385.000,00 (€ 1.619.289,71).
