Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day: An Online Auction, which included the work Nocturnes (Night Paintings From Warsaw) by Paulina Olowska. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,136.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paulina Olowska achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ela in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 106,352.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day: An Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nocturnes (Night Paintings From Warsaw) von Paulina Olowska zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.136,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paulina Olowska erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ela im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 106.352,81).
