Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction The Sunday Picture Sale - British and Continental oils,, which included the work The ballet shoes; and Ballerina in first position by Paul Wyeth. The price achieved of GBP 336.00 (€ 487.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work At the fair in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,088.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Sunday Picture Sale - British and Continental oils, durch, in der auch die Arbeit The ballet shoes; and Ballerina in first position von Paul Wyeth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 336,00 (€ 487,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit At the fair im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.088,88).
