Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Wyeth could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction, the work Carina with guitar, spaniel and Pipi changed hands for GBP 264.00 (€ 385.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work At the fair in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,088.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Wyeth konnte im August 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES wechselte die Arbeit Carina with guitar, spaniel and Pipi für GBP 264,00 (€ 385,66) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit At the fair im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.088,88).
