Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Still life with fruit and bottle by Paul Wyeth for GBP 174.00 (€ 252.39). This price was achieved in the auction The Sunday Picture Sale - British and Continental oils, at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work At the fair in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,088.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still life with fruit and bottle von Paul Wyeth für GBP 174,00 (€ 252,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Sunday Picture Sale - British and Continental oils, bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit At the fair im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.088,88).
